It is a fantastic online academy to…
It is a fantastic online academy to start your coding career, the content offered is very easy to understand and follow, I've personally used it to learn JavaScript and it has been great, I will start Python as soon as I get the chance. Absolutely brilliant customer service. There are only two things I'd recommend: 1) The implementation of tutors for Pro user, forums and pre-recorded videos are not enough (specially for beginners) and 2) The possibility of a more accessible/affordable Pro plan monthly payment. Other than that, I will most definitely use again and recommend Codecademy.
Cheaters
Other than grabbing your money, Codeacademy is worth peanuts! Such a money laundering platform. Grow up guys

no tutor
no tutor, when you ask for help you are refereed to the community support, so you are at the mercy of others, only choose this platform if you want to learn everything on your own, topics not well explained,
NEED TO HIRE SOME TUTORS

In depth explanations, great course. 10/10
I took the Java beginner course to prepare for a class (AP comp sci A). It was great and the content is simple to understand but goes in depth a good bit. I love the sections at the end of most lessons that says "AP students keep reading" and it gives you more of an explanation for the topic. It also lets you see some of the answer on most of the problems. Sometimes you get really stuck and need the answer. It has taught me a lot, the structure is efficient, and the lessons are fun to do! Overall great website for learning in my experience as a beginner/intermediate using the Java course!!
My only gripe is how much it costs and the fact that 1 month or 1 year subscriptions are your only options. I wish there was 3 or 6 months.

Amazing tool to learn programming and other digital skills
Amazing interactive platform to learn programming and data science skills. Learnt git and python so far. Looking forward to developing new skills.
A great resource
Good beginner lessons, no hassle and great customer service
Really good lessons and customer service.
Went in and finished some of the lessons when I had a pro. I do think for a beginner, it's a really good way to get into it. No hassle of setting enviro up (though you need to learn this even though!) so you can jump in and learn from the get go.
Forced to pay annually something I don’t need to
Hello,
I want to get a refund , I’m using your platform from 2 years and I can’t see progression , the courses are not helping at all, and I didn’t choose annually bill , I’m sure.
So please proceed to a refund or my bank will.
Thanks

Very well rounded platform
I'm currently doing the full stack path. It has been a smooth learning process. From basic to more complex concepts, the curriculum is laid out very well.
Also, along the course, you start setting up your environment to do the challenges of Codecademy.
The platform is way better than just a "code-along" video tutorial on youtube when trying to learn any programming language. The hands-on approach Codecademy have is delightful.
Although some exercises may lack context, some are too hard or too easy. Still, overall, the curriculum is very well balanced, and challenges are very accurate for gathering momentum.
The only platform that can compare is Datacamp(I tried it also, and it's maybe better for data science), but for the web stack, Codecademy is the best I've found so far.
I'm very grateful for Codecademy. Kudos! Very nice job!

Site breaks continually, poorly written lessons
I've used Codecademy for about a year, and for basics it's ok. I've learned Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and a few other concepts/languages. All along the way, I've fought broken content, site glitches, and poorly explained concepts. So many times they will tell you what to do and how to do it(in a limited context), but very rarely why. Only used it so long for guidance on what to learn next, because I paid for the year pro subscription, but I've needed to rely on youtube to understand any remotely complicated topics. Would not recommend, especially if you have no previous IT or coding experience

The website and layout look very nice but..
The website and layout look very nice, but often the examples are very, very easy,
It's a lot of, "monkey see, monkey do" learning, given the exact code what you need to type, which is not a way to learn, especially with coding. It should be encouraged that you try and fiddle around and figure stuff out yourself first a lot, which is imo the best way to learn code, of course keeping an option to give the answer if you can't figure it out.
Also the examples given could be more oriented to what you'll actually use the code for later on.

0% of freedom
Yes you get to learn programming languages, but There is 0% of freedom, You have to wright the exact line of code, literally, if you added a space to anything where you can, it gets mad at you. AND THEN YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET RID OF THAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Come on codecademy, don't control us for money :( :<

good but not best
The website is well structurated and everything is very flexible.
The problem is you HAVE NOT a teacher, NEVER.
So once you get in the hard part and you have no one to ask your doubt is going to be very frustrating.
I booked the full-stack but im not gonna finish it, im going to leave after the first half.....if i can do it

fraudulent be warned.
Scam. The course itself is pretty bad, but what’s worse is the infinite loop they send you on to cancel a subscription, asking you to log in all the time then leading you to nowhere. You can delete your account but this won’t delete your payment. They will ask you to verify your email but you’ll receive nothing to do so.

The career changing opportunity I've been looking for.
Been wanting to change careers for a few years now, but with the amount of time I work I didn't think I'd have time to take college classes and get job ready skills. With Codecademy I feel like I'm learning job relevant skills in the time I have. Plus the training is done in a hands on way that works well with the way I remember things. So far my experience has been great and I'm looking forward to being able to put my life on a new path.
